Meet Our Certified Programs

Instructure Certified Programs has grown from our first program, Canvas Certified Educator, in November 2020 to five individual certification programs and an institution-level certification.

Unique Learning Opportunities

These programs are different from other certification programs you may have encountered previously. Here are some of the things that set us apart!

  • Project Based: all of the assessment pieces in the programs ask participants to create something they will use in their own teaching and learning environments. There is no seat-time requirement, and there are no tests.
  • Asynchronous: All of our programs are asynchronous, meaning there are no live sessions or meetings, allowing you to work on your own schedule.
  • Facilitated: A critical piece of the courses is the facilitator for communication, engagement, and feedback. All of the facilitators are educators and Instructure employees who have been through the programs. They represent educators in K12 and HE from all over the United States.
  • Badges and Micro-credentials: Upon successful completion of each course, participants earn that course's badge through Credentials. If it the certification program is multi-course, participants will receive a final program micro-credential and certificate to designate successful completion.

Canvas Certified Power User

Canvas Certified Power User (CCPU) is for anyone who is going to create or deliver content in Canvas. This 12-week, one-course certification will teach you everything you need to know about Canvas, from logging in and customizing your profile, to creating and delivering full courses.

Canvas Certified Educator

Canvas Certified Educator (CCE) is designed by educators for educators. A series of online courses make up the program, aimed to strengthen your hands-on experience teaching with Canvas as you learn pedagogical best practices for online and blended learning.
